
Frank Aloysius Noethe
Anton Noethe, was born in 1833 in Recklinghausen Stadt, Westfalen, Preußen, Deutschland. Maria Anna Klostermann, was born in 1841 in Steinfeld, Oldenburg, Germany. Anton Noethe immigrated to the US with his mother, Catherine, step-father (John Bohnenkamp) and his four siblings. Anton's father, Georg, died in Germany. They settled near New Vienna, Iowa and had a total of seven children. Frank Aloysius Noethe was born in 1869.

In 1893 he married Kathryn (Kate) Vaske. Kate was born in 1867 in Delaware County, Iowa. They were married (wedding photo below) at Saint Boniface Church in New Vienna, Iowa. The church still stands today. The cemetery there holds the remains of many of our ancestors.

In 1918. The area was ravished by a tornado. The Noethe Homestead in Arcadia was hit hard. See 1918 Tornado History Section.

Frank continued to live in Arcadia until the time of his death in 1945 at the age of 76. At the time of his death, Ed and John(Hans) purchased the farm from his estate.
